CULTURE >> Don Yoon LEE is academic researcher, famous writer and
publisher in East Asian studies, covering the languages, literature, cultures
as well as the histories of South Korea, Japan, and China.He
was born on 7 April in seoul , Korea,
but has now resided for many years in the USA. He earned the degrees of Bachelor
of Arts at the University of Washington, Master of Arts at St. John sUniversity
and Master of Scince at
Georgetown University
in 1963, 1967 and 1971 respectively. Avid for yet further study he went on to
obtain two more Master of Arts degrees, awarde by
Indiana University in 1975 and as recently as 1990. He earned the degree of
Doctor of Philosophy- PhD at the World Information Distributed University-WIDU
in 2002. He was elected as Associate Professor of the WIDU and then as a
Professor ofthe WIDU.He earned from the WIDU the highest Scientific Degree
of Grand PhD in 2004. He has a command of eight languages. He published his monographs:An Introduction to East Asian & Tibetan Lingustics & culture,1981; Learning Standard Arabic,
1988; An Annotated Bibliography of Selected Works on China, 19881; Light
Literature and Philosophy of East Asia,1982; An Annotated Archaeological
Bibliography of Selected Works in Northern & Central Asia, 1983;
Traditional Chinese Thoughts, 1990; Arabic Verb Frequency, 1991; Korean
Literature, sijo, 1994.In 1981 in Bloomington,
Indiana, Mr. Lee founded the publishing firm of Eastern Press Inc, which he
continues to run. Commander Of SEC Don Yoon LEE has
numerous Honours and Awards. The International
Biographical Centre has honoured Mr. Lee by
appointing him one of its Deputy Director Generals. He is a Life
Fellow of International Biographical Association as well. He is a Cavalier and
Commander of the World Order SEC. His biography is in One Thousand Great
